Artist Statement: My artwork is intuitive and non-conceptual. I like to create energy and motion on the canvas by contrasting bright colors and unusual shapes and patterns. Many of my paintings have a dreamy surreal feel to them. My goal is to make the world a happier place one painting at a time Frankel likes to contrast bright colors to create energy and motion on the canvas. He enhances this dynamic effect by often including different textures and rounder forms contained within linear and angular geometries. Our world is changing faster than ever in human history. People today feel anxious, unmoored, and fearful about the future. Frankel’s work is happy, positive and harmonious which helps people deal with what is going on in the world and in their lives.
